Private Consignment

Bespoke Atelier accepts a highly curated selection of authentic designer fashion on consignment.

We exclusively accept recognised designer brands. Each piece is considered individually for its design, rarity, condition, provenance, collectibility and relevance to the Atelier.

We do not accept high-street, contemporary non-designer or unbranded pieces, regardless of original purchase price or condition.

Acceptance is always at the discretion of Bespoke Atelier.

All items must be from recognised designer fashion houses or labels and must meet the condition and curation standards of Bespoke Atelier.

Our particular interest lies in pieces that are rare, distinctive, difficult to find or representative of an important moment in a designer's history.

The Curation Process

To submit a piece for consideration, consignors will be asked to provide clear photographs together with the designer, size, condition, provenance and any supporting documentation available.

An initial valuation may be provided from photographs; however, final acceptance and pricing are subject to physical inspection.

Bespoke Atelier is under no obligation to accept an item.

Authenticity

Bespoke Atelier accepts authentic designer merchandise only.

The consignor warrants that they are the lawful owner of the item and that the item is authentic and free from any finance, claim or third-party ownership.

Where appropriate, Bespoke Atelier may arrange independent authentication before an item is offered for sale.

If an item is found or reasonably believed to be counterfeit, altered in a manner that materially affects authenticity, or otherwise misrepresented, it will not be offered for sale.

Any authentication or associated costs incurred as a result of inaccurate information supplied by the consignor may be charged to the consignor.

Condition

All pieces are inspected before acceptance.

Vintage and pre-owned pieces may naturally show signs of age or previous wear. These characteristics will be documented and disclosed where appropriate.

Bespoke Atelier reserves the right to decline pieces whose condition does not meet the standard of the Atelier.

Pricing

Bespoke Atelier determines the final retail price based on current market conditions, rarity, condition, provenance, desirability and comparable sales.

Where appropriate, a proposed price will be discussed with the consignor before the item is listed.

Bespoke Atelier retains discretion over presentation, merchandising and reasonable promotional pricing required to facilitate a sale.

Any reduction beyond the agreed pricing parameters will require the consignor's approval.

Consignment Commission

Bespoke Atelier operates on a commission basis.

The consignor's agreed payout and Bespoke Atelier's commission will be confirmed in writing before the item is accepted for consignment.

Commission is calculated on the final selling price of the item, excluding shipping, duties and other charges paid separately by the purchaser.

Consignment Period

The standard consignment period is 90 days from the date the item is made available for sale, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

During this period, the item may be presented through the Bespoke Atelier website, private-client network, social channels, editorial content and other appropriate sales channels.

If an item remains unsold at the end of the consignment period, Bespoke Atelier and the consignor may agree to extend the period, revise the price or return the item.

Withdrawing an Item

Once an item has been accepted, prepared and made available for sale, we ask that it remain with Bespoke Atelier for the agreed consignment period.

If a consignor requests the return of an item before the end of that period, Bespoke Atelier reserves the right to charge reasonable costs already incurred in relation to authentication, cleaning, photography, restoration, listing or preparation.

An item cannot be withdrawn once it has been sold or a binding purchase has been completed.

Presentation & Marketing

By consigning an item with Bespoke Atelier, the consignor authorises us to photograph, style, describe, advertise and market the item as we consider appropriate.

All photography, written descriptions and other original creative material produced by Bespoke Atelier remain the intellectual property of Bespoke Atelier.

Care of Consigned Items

Consigned pieces are handled and stored with appropriate care while in the possession of Bespoke Atelier.

Where an item requires professional cleaning, restoration, repair or authentication before sale, this will be discussed with the consignor where the cost is to be deducted from their proceeds.

Sale & Payment

An item is considered sold once the purchaser's payment has been successfully received and any applicable return or cancellation period has expired.

Consignor proceeds are paid after the transaction has been completed and the applicable return period has passed.

Payment will ordinarily be made within 7 business days thereafter.

If a transaction is cancelled, refunded, reversed or legitimately disputed, no consignor payment becomes due until the transaction has been finally resolved.

Returns

Where Bespoke Atelier accepts a customer's return in accordance with its Returns Policy, the item remains on consignment and may be relisted.

The consignor will not be required to absorb ordinary shipping or transaction costs arising from an approved customer return unless the return results from information supplied by the consignor that was materially inaccurate or incomplete.

Shipping

Shipping charges paid by the purchaser do not form part of the item's selling price and are not included when calculating the consignor's payout.

Where appropriate, high-value orders may be shipped using tracked, signature-required and/or insured delivery.

Loss or Damage

Bespoke Atelier takes reasonable care of every item entrusted to us.

Responsibility for loss or damage while an item is in Bespoke Atelier's possession will be governed by the individual consignment agreement and any applicable insurance or carrier protection.

Normal ageing, inherent material deterioration and pre-existing condition issues are not considered damage caused by Bespoke Atelier.

Unsold Items

At the end of the agreed consignment period, unsold pieces may be returned to the consignor, repriced by mutual agreement, or retained for an extended consignment period by mutual agreement.

Return delivery costs for unsold items are ordinarily the responsibility of the consignor unless otherwise agreed.

Consignor Responsibilities

By consigning an item, the consignor confirms that:

• — they are legally entitled to sell the item;
• — the item is authentic;
• — all information provided is accurate to the best of their knowledge;
• — all known alterations, repairs, damage or significant condition issues have been disclosed; and
• — Bespoke Atelier is authorised to offer the item for sale for the duration of the consignment agreement.

Our Approach

Bespoke Atelier is built around considered curation rather than volume.

We exclusively accept designer fashion, but designer alone does not guarantee acceptance.

Every submission must earn its place within the Atelier through design, condition, rarity, provenance or collectibility.

We look for pieces with something to say — an exceptional design, an interesting provenance, a particular moment in fashion, or simply that elusive quality that makes something worth finding again.

We are not resale. We are curation.
